New Zealand Secondary Schools football is delighted to announce Jeremy Field as our new under 16 Head Coach. Jeremy has spent the last two years helping with our selection process and coaching our “South teams” at the annual North v South v Maori tournament.

This year on our successful Sydney tour, Jeremy who was at the time the Assistant Coach, got thrust into the position of Head Coach at the last minute. Jeremy did a superb job whilst on tour and earned himself the permanent position of Head Coach for the under 16 side.

Jeremy is in the process of completing his NZF B Licence having already obtained his NZF and UEFA C Licence.

Jeremy is the 1st XI coach at HIBS. In 2022 he helped HIBS to the National Tournament final where they lost 1-0 to Tauranga Boys.

During his time in New Zealand Jeremy has played for both Melville United and Tauranga City. He was selected in the NZ age group teams for both U20 and U22. In 2004 Jeremy went to the US on a football scholarship at the University of Akron where he studied Sport Science/Coaching. He then moved to the UK and played for Polytechnic and Nottsborough FC in London.

As a coach,  he has been on the staff at Petone FC and Lower Hutt in Wellington in the Central League and Cap Prem leagues respectively.
